- About Omen Threat Meter
Omen ist ein Bedrohungsmesser. Die Gegner in WoW entscheiden je nachdem welche Fähigkeiten benutzt werden, wen sie angreifen müssen. Was Omen zu tun versucht, ist eine möglichst genaue Einschätzung darüber abzugeben, wie sich das Maß an Bedrohung deiner Gruppe auf einzelnen Gegnern darstellt, damit du weist, ob du davor stehst die Aggro des Ziels auf dich zu ziehen (oder ob du der nächste auf der Liste bist, wenn der Tank ins Gras beißt). Diese Informationen sind normalerweise nur in Raids von entscheidender Bedeutung, da dort oft nur der Tank die Angriffe eines Gegners überleben kann. Diese Informationen können sich aber auch in den meisten Gruppensituationen als nützlich erweisen.
Omen ist eine Benutzeroberfläche für die Threat-1.0 Programmbibliothek und wird daher nur im Paket mit ihr ausgeliefert.

- Hilfe! Die Leute sagen, dass meine Bedrohung nicht mehr übermittelt wird und "feststeckt". Was kann ich tun?
Dies wird durch einige andere Extrem spammende Addons verursacht, die du installiert hast, die deine ganze Addon-Übertragungsbandbreite verbrauchen. Threat-1.0 nutzt ChatThrottleLib um sicherzustellen, das nicht zu viele Übertragungen durch Addons erzeugt werden, und wird sich wenn dies passiert deaktivieren, die Bedrohungsinformationen werden also nicht mehr gesammelt, wenn ein anderes Addon zu viele Daten sendet. Die Daten werden nach dem der Kampf beendet ist gesendet, aber dann sind sie natürlich nutzlos.
Der Häufigste Schuldige ist hier DoTimer - Wenn du das Addon benutzt gib /comm ein und deaktiviere die Kommunikationsfunktionen. Sie werden nur sehr selten benötigt und wenn du sie deaktivierst, dann verbessert sich die Leistung deines Systems und es wird verhindert, dass DoTimer alle anderen Addons, die ChatThrottleLib verwenden abwürgt.
Wenn dies Auftritt. ohne das du DoTimer verwendest, dann empfehle ich die Verwendung von FuBar_AddonSpamFu (zu finden unter files.wowace.com) um die spammenden Addons ausfindig zu machen.
Leider gibt es keine bessere Lösung, als diese spammenden Addons dann zu deaktivieren, denn zu viel Übertragungsbandbreite auszunutzen, wird dazu führen, das du vom Spiel getrennt wirst, was schlimmer wäre als keine Bedrohungsdaten zu erhalten!
- Brauchen andere Spieler Omen, damit es richtig funktioniert?
Kurze Antwort: Ja Lange Antwort: irgendwie schon
Um genaue Daten zu erhalten, müssen deine Gruppenmitglieder Threat-1.0 (oder ein Addon, das es verwendet) installiert und am Laufen haben. Jedes Addon, das Threat-1.0 verwendet, wird diese Anforderung erfüllen und vollständige und genaue Bedrohungsdaten für Omen zur Verfügung stellen.
Die Addons, die im Moment Threat-1.0 verwenden sind:
* Omen (natürlich) * Aloft * Assessment * PitBull * Recount * Violation
Wenn deine Gruppenmitglieder irgendeines dieser Addons installiert haben, oder Threat-1.0 als Einzelinstallation verwenden, dann können sie Bedrohungsdaten senden und empfangen.
Zusätzlich kann Omen Daten vom KLH Threat Meter empfangen, wenn deine Gruppenmitglieder es also lieber verwenden als Omen, dann wirst du dennoch Bedrohungsdaten von ihnen erhalten. Bitte beachte, dass KTM die Bedrohung aus allen Quellen sammelt und zusammenrechnet, und die Bedrohungsinformationen bei dem Kampf gegen mehrere Ziele ungenau bzw. falsch werden.
- Muss ich Threat-1.0 installieren um Omen zu benutzen?
Nein. Threat-1.0 ist in Omen als eingebettete Programmbibliothek enthalten. Du musst Threat-1.0 nur installieren, wenn du deiner Gruppe Bedrohungsinformationen zur Verfügung stellen willst, ohne ein Grafisches Interface zu verwenden. Threat-1.0 ist der nackte Tank und Omen ist die Ausrüstung, die er trägt.
- Kann ich Omen und KTM gleichzeitig benutzen?
Sicher! Omen verträgt sich gut mit KTM. Du wirst Bedrohungsdaten von den Gruppenmitgliedern erhalten, die KTM verwenden, während sie KTM-kompatible Daten von Omen empfangen.
Omen ist als Ersatz für KTM entwickelt worden, aber dauert offensichtlich seine Zeit bis sich eine Raidgruppe auf ein neues System geeinigt hat.
- Wie behandelt Omen verschiedene Ziele mit gleichem Namen?
Unglücklicherweise ist dies die Hauptschwachstelle in jedem Bedrohungsaddon. Verschiedene Ziele mit dem gleichen Namen sind im Kampflog nicht von einander zu unterscheiden und so kann keiner genau wissen, auf welchem du Bedrohung aufbaust. Daher teilen sich alle Ziele mit gleichem Namen einen Bedrohungspool und Omen wird sie wie einen Gegnern behandeln. Dies ist bedauerlich, aber Blizzard stellt absichtlich nicht genug Informationen zur Verfügung, um gleichnamige Gegner im Kampflog zu unterscheiden. Glücklicherweise gibt es nicht viele Begegnungen mit gleichnamigen Mobs, wo die Bedrohung eine große Rolle spielt.
- Kann ich meine Leiste/die leiste meines Tanks/die Leiste meines Hundes einfärben?
Sicher. Rechtsklicke einfach auf irgendeine der Leisten um ein Menü zu öffnen, das es dir erlaubt die Farbe, Größe, Textur und Schriftart für die Leiste einzustellen.
- Ich habe diese coolen Einzelleisten in einem Screenshot gesehen. Woher kriege ich die
Zieh einfach eine Leiste aus der Omenoberfläche. Dies geht zwar nicht bei deiner eigenen Leiste, aber für die deines Pets und der anderen Spieler. Es entsteht dabei eine Leiste, die deinen Bedrohungsanteil und deine Bedrohung pro Sekunde prozentual ins Verhältnis zu dem in der Leiste überwachten Objekt stellt und dabei die Zeit bis zum ziehen der Aggro anzeigt. Dadurch kann man seine Fähigkeiten ohne Probleme so einsetzen, dass man unter dem Bedrohungslevel des ausgewählten Tanks bleibt.
Wenn du eine Leiste möchtest, die den Tank dynamisch erfasst und verfolgt, dann zieh die Aggro Gain Leiste aus dem Interface.
- DoTimer erkennt den Unterschied zwischen verschiedenen Gegnern mit gleichem Namen, warum kann Omen das nicht?
DoTimer stellt Vermutungen an, darüber auf welches Ziel du deine Fähigkeiten benutzt, indem es prüft welchen Gegner du ansiehst. Es ist jedoch möglichst Schaden an Gegnern anzurichten und damit Bedrohung zu erzeugen, ohne das Ziel anzuvisieren, die Maus darauf zu richten oder es anzusehen. Aus diesem Grund kann dieses System bei Threat-1.0 oder Omen leider nicht verwendet werden.

Sorry you are just plain wrong. Wowace.com is where a vast number of addon authors maintain their addons. IT IS NOT JUST A BETA SITE.
The key point is that using WowAceUpdater from http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater you can update not just your addons but very very importantly the embeded libraries. What causes most problems is people downloading out of date versions from sites like Curse where the addons are not maintained. These old old versions on Curse have out of date libraries.
What happens is you can have something stable and working then install a completely different addon that uses the same library and suddenly things break. As your old version of Omen from Curse relied on the library that it shipped with. Your new addon loads a different version and suddenly Omen breaks.
If you use WowAceUpdater you get the very latests fixes and ALL your acemod libraries are updated to the latest versions. Authors tend to be very quick to update addons and so you can find that a vast number of problems are fixed very very quickly.
Anyway the basic point is use WowAceUpdater to update your addons from the OFFICIAL site of wowace addons ie: wowace.com, don't rely on old out of date versions of addons and libraries from Curse.

The latest version of any addon is always at http://files.wowace.com/AddonName/AddonName.zip
Naturally substitute the name of the addon for AddonName eg:

Seriously though! SOUP COOKING NOISE! It's loud, interferes with my music, and happens 5 times every 10 seconds!

If you go into the options, under single mode from memory. There is an option to disable the aggro pull sound.
The reason you are getting the sound of course is that you are pulling aggro from your pet.

Jaxsur saidI couldn't agree more. I have both a warlock and a hunter, and it's so annoying that I just plain don't use Omen unless I'm grouping. Which is too bad, because I find the addon very useful for soloing with my pet, I just don't want my ears blasted out every time I get a little bit of aggro. FIX THIS! I'll pay you money if you put in a feature to turn off the noise, it's that important to me. Is that enough incentive?

The first version that added the sound also included the option to turn it off so you have ALWAYS been able to disable it. Just look in the options menu - under single mode if memory serves.

It used to be you visited Curse and there were dozens of updated addons a day now days go by with only 1 or 2 updates. Curse is where addon authors update because some people don't know where else to look.
Wowace.com is where addons are usually maintained these days. When Blizzard releases a patch addon authors rapidly update their addon to fix things Blizzard broke. People that still rely on Curse will have broken addons potentially for months after everone else has got fixed versions from wowace.com.

dcwarpath saidI disagree. Our guild upgraded to OMEN 75456.8 and tried to raid BT.
All members were on the same version. We experienced many issues with threat no displaying correctly during the Gurtogg fight (Among others)
After deleting this version and going back to 72207.1 threat showed up correctly.
WOWACE is not for stable builds. If you speak to the developer of the add on he will tell you the same thing. Once upon a time Curse only published the version approved by the developer. Something has changed....

AspectX saidOk, have tried the new version from wowace, on the last post information, went back to 72207.1
Still having the exact same problem I was with the other versions...
AddOns at character select says the mod is installed... Khaos says the mod is installed in-game... however, there is no minimap icon (yes I have moved all the others to see if its hiding behind one and no omen icon)... and ALL omen commands such as /omen toggle etc return the exact same invalid command text of :
Type /help for a listing of a few commands.
Is there an author or someone watching this post forum?!?!? I have talked with countless others in game, they dont seem to be having this problem, I have completely wiped the WTF, Cache, and Interface folders, and completely reinstalled, exact same issues... HELP! Loved this mod, and its commonly used by most of my server for end game raiding.... Any help at all regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated...

WoWAce is a Beta site used for developers to test their add ons.
Although it is ok to do this with some add ons, OMEN is more complicated.
The author was publishing only STABLE versions on curse. Someone has changed that.
I would ask that the person who is updating to WOWACE please stop doing this unless the author of this add approves the build as stable.
The last STABLE version is Omen Threat Meter r72207.1
Please have ALL your guild members install this version and you will be very happy with this add on.
